A new era has begun; VIA Sweden is a sister company to VIA-verlag. Whereas VIA-Verlag publishes the Professional Lighting Design magazine (PLD) plus other scientific booklets, VIA Sweden supports the company’s educational programme and initiatives. A large number of the educational activities currently under development in VIA-Verlag will be staged in the old museum building, Alströmerska Magasinet, in Alingsås/S, where the VIA Sweden team have at their disposal a series of interesting spaces in which to stage seminars, lectures, exhibitions and other events. For example the Light and Health and Daylight seminars in autumn 2010. These seminars are prepared by experienced qualified educators and taught by leading experts in the respective fields. VIA-Verlag has an almost 20-year history of the (further) education of lighting specialists.
